“We Create” art exhibition has opened for public viewing at the National Art Gallery and will be held till 6th November 2021.
The exhibition was officially inaugurated on 30th October 2021 by the Former National Art Gallery Director, Mohamed Hilmy.
During his speech, Hilmy noted the important role played by fine arts in the progress and development of the world and how it is beneficial for the growth of people.
Organized by the founders of Facebook page “Bulb”, Ahmed Nimad (Andhu) and Fathimath Junaina (Junay); “We Create” art exhibition intends to showcase local-made products including house-hold items and pottery. The pieces for the art exhibition are made especially for the event.
Along with the creations of Ahmed Nimad (Andhu) and Fathimath Junaina (Junay), the exhibition has a collection display of a photographer from Kulhudhuffushi.
Andhu noted that the collection will be of interest to the public as the photos depict the fine arts of a “creative mind”.
The exhibition will also feature a special doodle by Maryam Leen; a representation of the renowned poem by Daisymaage Aminath Faaiza, “Visnaashey Gaumu”.
