The latest solo exhibition by the accomplished local artist, Ahmed Azmee (Baachy) — ‘Hudhu’ is open for public viewing from 23rd October 2022.
‘Hudhu’ is the name for the color ‘white’ in the Maldivian language, Dhivehi. The art exhibition brings forth 12 intricate artworks created using mixed media, where the items are either modeled or sculptured. Each piece sheds light on the different aspects of life and intends to promote open-mindedness and self-reflection.
In his welcome message for the exhibition displayed at the gallery, Baachy notes that his decision to use only ‘white’ in all of the artworks was due to the purity and simplicity the color represents.
‘Hudhu’ by Baachy is open for public viewing till the 3rd November 2022.
