“Unveiling Visions 2021” Officially Opens for Public Viewing

Maldives contemporary art exhibition, “Unveiling Visions 2021” is officially open for public viewing at the National Art Gallery. Organized by the Maldivian Artist Community and the National Art Center for the Arts (NCA), the fifth edition of the exhibition was inaugurated and attended by his Excellency, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on December 5, Sunday evening.

Featuring the artworks of 67 artworks from 7 different categories including Drawing, Painting, Digital Art, Calligraphy, Sculpture, Installation and Mixed Media, this is the largest art exhibition held this year in the Maldives. The exhibition will be open for public viewing until December 15.

During the visit to the National Art Gallery, President Solih toured and viewed some of the paintings and artworks on display. He also presented awards to the five winners in the “Most Vibrant Artists” category of a competition held as part of the exhibition.

– Mix Media Category: Aishath Sajiyaan Abdul Sattar
– Painting Category: Mariyam Barsha
– Digital Art Category: Ali Imthishal

The President was also presented with a painting by Maldives Artist Community during the event.
