Ms. Kishani Jayasinghe-Wijayasekara, Deputy Director Programs of the SAARC Cultural Center is in the Maldives to attend the pre-meeting held to discuss the arrangements for the Artist Camp and Exhibition of Paintings. The event is set to take place in the Maldives from the 22nd to 27th of September 2019.
She visited the venue of the Artists Camp in Hulhumale’ and had a meeting with the Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Heritage. The arrangments for the event are currently underway.
In her message after the meeting, she noted her anticipation in regard to the contribution of the program towards “fostering cultural understanding, enhancing artistic exploration and building intercultural friendships amongst the SAARC member states using the medium of painting and artistry.”
